A new tiny platformer coming soon to XBLIG (Xbox Live Indie Games), based on an engine that I was working on for a small challenge where you were tasked to create a game in 7-days. I still have plans to use this engine to create a much larger game called SevenBits, where you will need to collect lots of items in the world and then use them to solve the levels. However, while my son was in the hospital over the past few weeks, mostly better now! He started drawing robots and decided he wanted me to make a game called Hardest Robots X, this project is my attempt to take his drawings and either use them directly or convert them, and take his direction for the story and levels. The game will feature over 30-levels, and collect bolts to increase your score.
Here are a few screen shots of the early work on this game, which should be released as early as December.

Our first project for the Xbox Live Indie games channel is now available - See it here!
An update that adds the first of several new mini games to the project will be hitting peer review next week, we had a slight delay after making further changes to the flash cards. We added two new options, you will now be able to play the cards with a pause between each card before the audio - pressing "A" will read the card and continue to the next one. You may also now do the same without audio.
Here is a screen shot of one of the first mini games that is being added. Guide a toy submarine around to collect the letter bubbles, you have to do so in the correct order, and before time runs out to activate the exit.

Update: A new version of this game is nearing completion, due to surgery my updates have been really badly delayed. Lots of the game is being reworked based on user comments. Uppercase, Lowercase, and the option to show both cases at the same time are also in the update. Here is a alpha shot of the new menu as well.

If you have already downloaded the demo or purchased the game, we would love to hear what you think about it so far. Feel free to write via XBL to the gamertag Talryyn, or use the contact us form. We have lots of feedback already coming in, and this is a project that will see many updates with new content. |
